Mr. Chomphol Phornchindarak, President of the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), along with and Ms. Armira Wahid Hatta, Vice President and Ms. Vilasinee Noknaum, Secretary-General attended the prestigious FACETS 2025 International Gem and Jewelry Show held at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Sri Lanka, from January 4–6, 2025.
The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Anura Kumara Disanayak, President of Sri Lanka, who warmly welcomed international delegates to this world-renowned exhibition.
Additionally, the TGJTA delegation had the privilege of meeting with HON. Sunil Handunnetthi, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, to discuss opportunities for strengthening industrial collaboration between Thailand and Sri Lanka in the gems and jewelry sector.
During the event, the TGJTA delegation had the opportunity to meet Mr. Arkam Cassim, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association (SLGJA) and Mr. Armil Sammoon, Chairman of FACETS to discuss enhancing cooperation and expanding business networks between Thailand and Sri Lanka.
FACETS 2025 is South Asia’s premier gem and jewelry exhibition, showcasing world-class gemstones, including the rare Padparadscha sapphire. This year’s event highlights the historical journey of the gemstone trade and its influence on modern-day commerce, providing a platform to explore the latest market trends, innovations, and global networking opportunities.
